Question: I've had a bit of back pain for some time but now I'm beginning to have some numbness down my leg. Is there a connection? Jake Douglas (October 28, 2000)
Answer: There could be. My philosophy is to first tackle the main cause of most back pain, which is bad posture. However the symptom you are describing would appear to indicate there could be a problem with your sciatic nerve, and could be very serious. I would strongly advise you to seek a medical opinion immediately. Colm Campbell.
